Faith in the Times of Hardship

The story of the children of Israel illustrates a crucial lesson about faith. While they had enough faith to be delivered out of Egypt, they faltered when it came to entering the promised land due to their wavering confidence in God. Hebrews 10:35-36 warns against losing confidence in God, as this can hinder our relationship with Him. Many people have enough faith to be delivered from sin but lack the faith to fully commit to a life with God that ends with them making it into heaven.

As we grow closer to God, our love for Him should deepen. However, becoming “froward” or stubbornly going our own way indicates a lack of faith. God desires us to trust in Him and follow His guidance, rather than relying on our own understanding. We must keep the faith and believe all the way to the end.
