| When it comes to getting understanding regarding the things of God, the Bible says in Job 32:8, “But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.” The Hebrew word for inspiration is translated in our Bible as “breath” or “spirit.” When the scripture says that “the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding,” it means that God breathes into us and the understanding that we receive comes from the inside out. We can only get true understanding from the Spirit of God. Job 32:9 says, “Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.” Your understanding comes from the inspiration of the Almighty, not from your old age. It does not matter how young or old you are, we all need to dig into God’s word and ask God to open our understanding by His Spirit. |
