Fact #18: Lord Jesus Christ
The Bible is intentional even about the “Order” and “Titles” of Jesus’ name!
| When the Bible says Lord rather than Jesus or Christ, though talking of the same Saviour, the title emphasizes something different. The word LORD speaks of God’s authority, CHRIST emphasizes His suffering, and JESUS, His highest name, highlights Him as a personal Saviour. He is the ONLY Lord, an authoritative King who reigns over all. No one can say that Jesus is Lord but by the Holy Ghost who leads and guides us so that He can be in control of our lives. Jesus, King of kings, and Lord of lords, is Lord of all. |
