The Church in Thyatira

The fourth church that John wrote about in Revelation 2 is the Church in Thyatira (Rev. 2:18-29). Thyatira was a unique church in that the last was more than the first and they were fired up! However, Jezebel was in the church and she was teaching and seducing the servants to commit fornication and eat things sacrificed to idols (Rev. 2:20). God gave Jezebel space to repent of her fornication and she did not repent! Judgment was cast on Jezebel and everyone that did fornication with her unless they REPENTED! He even said in vs. 23 “And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.” Your sins do not just affect you, but those attached to you as well. We cannot undo our past, but when God allows space to repent, we must take action!
